What do you love or hate about Secret Attic? Tell us what you think in our poll. Think you have what
it takes? Then
enter the Secret Attic Short Story Competition! Click Here to find last months winner! There are no current competitions.
Entry is free and there are no subject requirements. Short stories, poems and scripts are accepted. The winner and runners up will be contacted by email shortly after competition end date. Maximum of 1500 words, if you do go slightly over that is ok, but please try and stay within this boundary. Remember Stephen King wrote that every author should chop 20% of words out of his / her first draft. Only one entry per person, save your other entries for future competitions! If you have submitted an entry which did not win and did not make it into the top entries produced for the booklets, you can enter again. You could also consider registering it for an appraisal. The Legal Bit - by sending in a competition entry you are agreeing with the terms and conditions stated here: It's important to note that you still own the copyright to everything you contribute to Secret Attic. This means you are perfectly free to take what you have written and re-publish it somewhere else. In
contributing to Secret Attic you agree to grant the Secret Attic
website a perpetual, non-exclusive right and licence
to publish your contribution on the website as well as to publish and
distribute your contribution, at our sole discretion, as part of any
compilation work that Secret Attic may choose to produce in any format.
